And what a delightful individual. I went to a very informative and I have to say enjoyable Food For Thought event last night. The presenter was a very enthusiastic and motivational Kerryanne Farrer (The Pineapple Queen B) who enlightened us on networking.
Starting first with her story made it easy for us to warm up to her, and this was the essence of the night. We were shown how to network, not just told go and talk to people.
Firstly, look at what networks you have and not what you haven’t. Get a piece of paper and list all your corresponding connections to the Local Network below and explore what you can do for them and possibly get in return.
Then look at all the areas where you have no connections, and you may discover areas you have never thought of before. Find the connection of what you can do for them and in return what they may do for you. For example, I never thought about the tourist Industry before, but with my nature and wildlife photography and holiday blogs, I am sure I can find some possibilities. And what about sporting groups, there is a huge variety in populous at these events.
More about the approach soon
