Photography in the rain
The below shots are some moody Church action, and the illegal train shot from me sussing out where to place the bombs…..oops not suppose to say that word am I, probably going to have the police on my doorstep soon…..no wait, we are flooded in. Should be sweet till morning lol. Was told I was not allowed to take photos of the train tracks without a permit, which I can understand, I mean I do look like a Terrorist on a bad day, but not sure if one would use a $5000 pro camera to take quick snaps……but he was really nice about it.
I struggle at times to find interesting things to shoot in the city and thought rain would add that extra spark. I found it added depth to colours and tone (now not being bleached out by sunlight), and a sparkle to…well just about everything. I will say that this was Thursday before the deluge of today, but I kind of hope we get a bit more heavy rain tomorrow so I can see what fun I can find….Maybe even bribe the kids to get wet for me.
Its hard to get everything correct when juggling a heavy camera, flapping umbrella and drips of rain. Photoshop helps out every now and again. By the way, for those of you out there (I know you are) the umbrella was left in as artistic licence
